Cloudflare runs a set of official hosted MCP servers. The main one is the Cloudflare API server: in Code Mode, the agent writes JavaScript to search and call about 2,500 API endpoints, from Workers, KV, R2 and D1 to DNS and firewall rules, for about 1,000 tokens of tool definitions. Next to it sit smaller servers for Browser Run, the docs and containers.
Use it two ways. In Claude Code or claude.ai, an engineer can ask what's deployed, read a Worker's settings or check a D1 table without opening the dashboard. In your own product, you attach the hosted URLs to your API call with a Cloudflare API token. Your agent can then manage your own Workers resources, or use Browser Run to turn any page into markdown, a screenshot or a PDF.
Watch out
- execute can change and delete production resources. Grant read-only permissions at sign-in, or a read-only API token, unless the agent must deploy.
- Browser Run on the Workers Free plan gives 10 minutes of browser time a day. Workers Paid includes 10 hours a month, then $0.09 per hour. Cap screenshot and crawl loops per user.
- Pages Browser Run returns can carry instructions aimed at your agent. Don't attach the API server with write access in the same session.
Install
In Claude Code:
Terminal
Loading editor...
claude mcp add --transport http cloudflare-api https://mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp
Then run
/mcp, sign in to Cloudflare and choose which permissions the agent gets. Add Browser Run the same way with https://browser.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp. Or install Cloudflare's plugin, which adds skills and registers the servers: /plugin marketplace add cloudflare/skills, then /plugin install cloudflare@cloudflare.In your product, attach
https://mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp or https://browser.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp with a Cloudflare API token as the authorization_token in the Claude API's mcp_servers, or as an Authorization: Bearer header in the AI SDK. User and account tokens both work. Account tokens need "Account Resources: Read" so the account ID is found.More in Top MCP servers for development.
