Get a Next.js engineer who owns the result

Claude Code writes most of the code. Your engineer plans it, reviews it and answers for it

Pages that load fast and rank

Server rendering, static pages and image optimization set up right, so users and Google get a fast first load.

Features end to end

UI, Server Actions, database and auth in 1 pull request, with no handoff between frontend and backend.

Review before it ships

A preview deploy for every change, on Vercel or your own servers, so you click through a live link first.

Code the next engineer can read

Typed code, tests on the flows that matter and a README that explains how it runs.

Build on a stack that will scale

Why we pick Next.js, from our tech stack guide

Next.js is the most widely adopted React meta-framework, used by Vercel , OpenAI, Notion, and thousands of production apps. Supports SSR, SSG, ISR, and edge rendering from one codebase.

The App Router brings React Server Components, streaming, and Server Actions. Built-in image optimization, font loading, and middleware. The default for production React.

Hybrid Rendering

Image Optimization
Automatic resizing, lazy loading, WebP
Server Actions
Mutations without API routes

Next.js fits when

  • Building production React apps — Next.js is the most battle-tested React framework.
  • SEO and initial load performance are critical — SSR, SSG, and streaming are first-class.
  • You want the largest ecosystem of examples, templates, and integrations in the React world.
  • Deploying to Vercel for seamless DX, or self-hosting on Node.js/Docker.

Pick something else when

  • You want a simple SPA — Next.js adds server complexity you don't need (consider Vite + React Router).
  • You want to avoid Vercel-centric patterns — TanStack Start gives you similar capabilities without platform lock-in.
  • You find the App Router's caching and Server Component mental model too complex — SvelteKit offers a simpler, more intuitive model.
  • You're not using React — SvelteKit or Nuxt are better choices for Svelte /Vue.

Test them on a real task first

Before the first full week, your engineer spends 2 days on a task from your backlog. You pay $7 and keep the code

Add team invites to your app

  • Invite form and email with a signup link
  • Accept flow that adds the user to the team
  • Tests for the invite and accept steps
  • A Loom walking you through the change

FAQ

What does a Next.js developer do?

They build your web app on Next.js: pages, server rendering, API routes or Server Actions, auth and the database behind it. Ours use AI agents like Claude Code to write most of the code, then review and test it before it ships.

Can they work on an existing Next.js app?

Yes. Most clients have a live product. The 2-day trial is usually a real task in your repo, so you see how they handle your codebase before the first full week.

App Router or Pages Router?

Either. Say which one your app uses in the brief and we match an engineer who has shipped on it, or who can plan the move to the App Router if you need one.

How much does it cost to hire a Next.js developer?

Our engineers charge $30-60 an hour, depending on experience. Full time at 40 hours a week that comes to about $5,000-10,000 a month, with no deposit and no platform fee. On Toptal the same search starts at about $60 an hour, plus a $500 deposit and $79 a month.

How do you vet the engineers?

Every candidate builds and presents a full-stack demo project: a landing page, a web app, a backend and a database with RAG, all with AI agents. Then our CTO, Igor Krasnik, interviews them on technical knowledge, product sense, clear thinking and how they work with a team. Only engineers who pass both are matched with clients.

Can I hire for 20 hours a week or a short project?

Yes. Pick 20 or 40 hours a week in the brief. Billing is weekly, so a 2-week fix and a year-long engagement work the same way: you stop when the work is done.

What if the engineer is not a good fit?

Tell us and we send a replacement from the network. There is no contract to exit and no notice period, since billing is weekly.

Do I talk to the engineer directly?

Yes. They join your Slack and work with you like a member of your team. There is no account manager in between, and you get a written update every day.
