Notion MCP

Search your workspace, write pages from templates and query your Notion databases

Notion MCP is Notion's official hosted server. Your agent can search the workspace, read pages and databases, create pages from your templates, update properties and leave comments. Notion also keeps an open-source local version on GitHub, but the hosted server is the one Notion recommends.
For a product team that means Claude can draft a PRD in your spec template, rank a feature-request database or collect open questions from comments. It works well with Granola for turning calls into specs, and with Linear for turning specs into issues.

Watch out

  • Search returns at most 50 results, and very large pages may load only partly.
  • AI search across connected apps like Slack and Drive needs a Business or Enterprise plan with Notion AI. Other plans get keyword search.
  • Claude can see everything your Notion account can see.
