Atlassian MCP (Jira and Confluence)

Triage Jira issues, turn specs into epics and write Confluence pages

The Atlassian Rovo MCP server is Atlassian's official hosted server for Jira and Confluence Cloud. Your agent can run JQL searches, read and create issues, move them through workflows, and read or write Confluence pages. It's the most searched MCP server for product teams, because most of them still live in Jira.
It also covers Bitbucket Cloud, Loom, Compass and Jira Service Management, each behind its own permission group. Delete and admin tools for Jira stay off until an org admin turns them on. It pairs well with Slack for turning requests into tickets.

Watch out

  • Cloud only. On Server or Data Center, use the community mcp-atlassian.
  • Every call spends Rovo credits from your company's shared pool.
  • The legacy /v1/sse endpoint stops working after 30 June 2026. Use the /v2/mcp URL.
