Framelink is a community MCP server for Figma, made by Graham Lipsman. It is open source under MIT and runs locally from the
figma-developer-mcp npm package. You give it a Figma personal access token, so it works on any Figma plan, including free ones.Paste a link to a Figma file, frame or group and the agent gets its layout and styling. Framelink calls the Figma API and trims the response to the data that matters for code, which cuts it by close to 90%. It reads only; for writing to the canvas, use the official Figma server.
Watch out
- Complex designs can still overwhelm the agent. Work one frame or group at a time.
- The token can read every file your account can open. Keep it out of shared configs and repos.
