Awwwards is the gallery of award-winning websites: Site of the Day, Developer Award, Honorable Mention. This open-source MCP server lets your coding agent search it in plain words ("dark 3D portfolio sites", "soft pastel e-commerce"), see the screenshots inline, and pull a site's design DNA: color palette, tech stack, design elements and awards. It's a free Mobbin for marketing sites and landing pages rather than app screens.
It goes further than screenshots. With Playwright installed, the agent can capture any live page, map its sections, record a short video of its scroll and hover animations, and read which animation libraries and easings it uses.
create_design_brief turns 2 to 5 picked sites and your goal into a written direction that cites where each idea came from. It runs locally, with no account or API key. It's a community project (not made by Awwwards) and MIT-licensed.Watch out
- It scrapes awwwards.com, so when Awwwards changes its markup, search can break until the parser is fixed.
- Screenshots and content belong to Awwwards and the site creators. Use them for inspiration, not to copy a site.
- Award-winning sites lean on heavy WebGL and scroll effects. Tell the agent which ideas fit your product and your performance budget.
