Stitch — a new AI design tool from Google, Shipmas

Google ships like they’re some indie-hackers. Stitch is of the tools from Google Labs, with it you can build really cool things with AI (using their latest Nano Banano model). Last week they’ve shipped UI prototyping features and heatmap simulation, while generating really decent designs fast.
It looks like 2026 will be transforming year for designers, as more quality tools appear.

Article: Cursor migrated from Sanity CMS to hosted markdown

It took $260 in tokens and hundreds of agents.

Video tutorial on designing apps with AI and templates

The author shows how he built a great modern website with AI. What makes it’s interesting is the process that author walks us through and his thinking about designing in general. Will be useful for anyone who ever built websites.
Mentions in this video are so great and useful:
  • Supahero — a collection of Hero sections for inspiration
  • Bentogrids — a collection of bento grid sections (think feature sections)
  • CtaGallery — a collection of buttons and call to action blocks
  • Mobbin — a collection of workflow screenshot from beautifully designed apps
  • Iconify — a list of open-source icons

More:

  • Varchive — a showcase for AI-assisted builds, inspiration, and how-tos
  • GPT Images — new image generation model from OpenAI
  • Interesting debate on what comes first: design or code, between Linear CEO (Karri Saarinen) and Cursor Head of design (Ryo Lo)
