Hugging Face's official MCP server connects your agent to the Hub: models, datasets, Spaces, papers and the documentation. Ask for "a small model that classifies support tickets" or "a dataset of product reviews" and the agent searches the Hub and comes back with links, downloads and licenses.
It can also run community AI apps. Many Gradio Spaces on Hugging Face work as MCP tools: speech to text, background removal, image generation. Add them in your Hugging Face MCP settings, or let the agent find them as it goes. The server is hosted by Hugging Face and free to connect.
Watch out
- Community Spaces are run by their authors and can be slow, sleeping or gone. Check the result before relying on it.
- Each Space you add brings more tools into context. Add only the ones you use.
- Model and dataset licenses vary. Ask the agent to show the license before you build on one.
